| Background: | Mit einem Umsatz von 10 Milliarden Euro und mehr als 30.000 Mitarbeitern, ist Adidas der zweitgrösste Sportartikel-Hersteller weltweit. Adolf Dasler hat nach dem 2. Weltkrieg die Firma mit den drei Streifen gegründet und als Schuh-Ausstatter der deutschen Fussballnationalmannschaft beim Wunder von Bern 1954 weltbekannt gemacht. Heute ist adidas zwar immer noch auf Sportartikel fokussiert, doch mit besonderen und limitierten Auflagen gelingt auch der Spagat in den Lifestyle-Bereich. Schuhe wie der "Roc-A-Fella 10th Anniversary Sneaker" sind teuer und heiss begehrt. Adidas, traditionell stark in Europa, buhlt schon seit langem um Marktanteile in den USA. Diese Bemühungen wurden durch die Übernahme von Reebok im Jahr 2006 intensiviert und man hofft weiterhin dem Hauptkonkurrenten Nike Wasser abgraben zu können.
